Wiki means quick.
Mediawiki is a widely used wiki software. The owner needs to know who the editors and moderators are.
Basic use:
Each page is created by simply creating a new [[WikiLink]] to another page.
If the grammer is not quite right, and one would like multiple [[Wiki Links]] to go to a single page, one can create a page with #REDIRECT [[WikiLink]] in it and that will allow more than one WikiLink to point to the same content.
Namespaces and categories are really cool.
[[Category:Fruit]] creates a BackLinks page lists all the pages that
{{template:Page}} includes the contents of [[template:page]] in the page that includes it.
This is a great way to have a header for related pages, and link to related pages and include the proper category for the page.
Wikis may have different administration expectations, but it is expected that everyone can edit every page, but there will be disputes. Typically the owner or manager will have final say. If peers are battling, they should try to find a compromise.
everything can be a link, content does not need to be duplicated.
Long pages can include other pages to make editing easier, and have edit once, appear many places.
Stubs are pages that are linked to but have no content. these are ok. Some people may not like the idea of having unfinished business. Feel free to edit those pages and create the content.
Discussion pages are used for talking about plans for the future for the page, and it may be appropriate to put ideas here.
